Low-maintainence exotic pets

Exotic pets can be quite expensive when it comes to building their habitat and making sure that they have enough space to run around in but the one thing that you do have to remember is when you’re deciding to get an exotic pet most of them are very low maintenance.  Spending time with the pet can take a lot of time out of your schedule when it comes to a friend’s and family events but when you have an exotic pet the one thing that you do not have to worry about is handling them all the time because they do not like it.  This is one thing that you have going for you when it comes to exotic pets because they do not like to be handled and can actually harm them if they are handled too much.

Having a low maintenance exotic pet means that you do not have to do much in order to keep them happy.  The one thing that you do have to do is make sure you maintain their pet habitat and keep it clean.  This means you’re going to have to be able to transfer your exotic pet into another container until their main habitat is cleaned thoroughly.  You want to be able to use aid bleach solution containing no more than 3% when you’re cleaning their habitat and you want to make sure that you do not smell any type of bleach on anything in their habitat otherwise it can get your exotic pet sick.  Maintaining the pet habitat could be as easy as hooking up a hose and spring everything down with a 3% bleach solution and having it drain on the ground if you have a habitat that is easily mobile.  Some habitats are very large and cannot be done this way but if you have an outside habitat where the climate is more ideal it is easy to take a pressure washer or a garden hose to clean up the habitat.  Just make sure that you get everything out of the habitat they can be harmful and there is no smell remaining of bleach.

Another thing about having a low maintenance exotic pet is the feeding schedule.  Depending on how big your reptile or exotic pet is and how large they can grow will depend on how often you feed them.  Sometimes it is best to only feed them once a week but then you need to make sure that you clean up everything after that that they do not eat and remove from the cage until the next feeding time.  Low maintenance exotic pets have becoming more popular because you not have to spend a lot of time with them but you still get that respect that they deserve by sitting there watching them climb around in their habitat.  If you have a hard time remembering what’s going on with a pet and what you have to do maybe an exotic pet is right for you do to the maintenance schedule that you have to keep.
